Top things to do this weekend

The sun will be out this weekend! There are plenty of things to do, both indoors and outdoors. Thanks to OnMilwaukee, here is a list of things to do this weekend.

  • The Door County Sled Dogs are coming to snow-covered Whitnall Park the weekend of March 2 and 3, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. The recreational team of all rescued dogs, under the direction of their mushers, will give dog-sled rides with the mission of education and fun for all ages. Rides depart from 5879 S. 92 St., on a first-come, first-served basis, at $15 per rider. The dog-sled ride experience includes visiting with the dogs, question-and-answer time with the mushers, picture-taking time, and a dog-sled ride around the trail.   • MILWAUKEE ARCHAEOLOGY FAIR - Travel back in time - dig into the Milwaukee Archaeology Fair and chat with archaeologists and historians from Wisconsin universities, museums, historical societies and more.   • EASTSIDE MUSIC TOUR - Music Tour guests are invited to enjoy local singer songwriters, DJs, musicians and bands in local coffee shops, boutiques, retail shops, taverns and restaurants.   • GERMANY UNDER GLASS - Take a trip to Germany - without leaving Milwaukee! The German American Societies, Inc. and Milwaukee County Parks present this celebration of German culture, food, music and dance at the Mitchell Park Horticultural Conservatory from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today.
