Bad boy Jeremy Meeks is a wanted man, and not just by his local police department.

Meeks, 30, was arrested on Wednesday in Stockton, California, on gun charges along with three other men.

Since Meeks' mug shot became public, it has gotten a lot of attention.

Comments like "Wow being that fine is already a crime" and "OMG yummy pretty bad boy" were posted to FOX40's website and the Stockton Police Department Facebook page.

As of Thursday afternoon, more than 26,500 people have liked his mug shot on Facebook and more the 6,100 comments have been left underneath Meeks' photo.

Someone has even set up a Facebook fan page for Meeks.

According to TMZ, Meeks is currently being held on $900,000 bond for illegally possessing firearms and ammo, carrying a loaded firearm in public, and criminal street gang activity.

UPDATE: After finding out about his online popularity, Meeks spoke about it from his jail cell. He said that he appreciated the comments and he wants his admirers to know that he is not a kingpin. He also claims that he is no longer a gangster.

The Stockton Police Department is reminding everyone that Meeks is a felon and previously spent nine years in prison for grand theft.

Meeks isn't the first criminal whose mug shot has inspired admiration. AskMen.com even has a gallery titled "Hot & Busted: The Best Looking Mugshots in America."
