Make-A-Wish child stars in own Katy Perry music video

Addy is a five-year-old "champion."

The Make-A-Wish child celebrated beating stage IV cancer by becoming a "pop star" in her very own music video set to the tune of Katy Perry's "Roar." Perry is Addy's favorite artist, according to Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic.

"While she was sick and fighting cancer, Addy turned to arts and pop culture as a distraction from her symptoms and treatments," explains Make-A-Wish. "During her long hospital visits, Addy would spend hours drawing and, when she felt up for it, practicing her singing and dancing. Addy took inspiration from an array of performances by her favorite musicians on YouTube."

From merely singing into her purple (favorite color) hairbrush in her bedroom, to performing in front of a stadium of adoring fans at a Redskins halftime show, watch above to see Addy "Roar."

The national charity Make-A-Wish grants the wish of a child diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition in the United States and its territories, on average, every 38 minutes, according to its web site.
