It's well known that the cast of the "Fast & Furious" franchise was very close and the outpouring of grief from its stars after Paul Walker's death is no surprise.

A touching tribute video to Walker was released Wednesday on YouTube. The video is set to "I'm Coming Home" by Skylar Grey. The video has been viewed more than 1.5 million times since it was posted.

Vin Diesel, who co-starred with Walker, posted a personal message about Walker's death on his Facebook page on Dec. 2. In his message, he quoted the poet Thomas Campbell saying "To live in the hearts we leave behind, is not to die."

Later that day, he visited the crash site where Walker died and used a police megaphone to express his gratitude to the gathered crowd.

"Fast & Furious" co-star Tyrese Gibson also posted an photo and emotional message on his Instagram account shortly after hearing about Walker's death.

Ludacris, who also appeared in several of the "Fast & Furious" movies, also posted a photo of the cast sharing a meal on his Instagram account.

It has also been announced that a portion of the proceeds from home entertainment sales of "Fast & Furious 6" will be donated to Walker's nonprofit organization Reach Out WorldWide. The movie is being released Dec. 10 on DVD, Blu-ray, digital and on-demand.

In addition, Universal has announced that it is officially shutting down production of "Fast & Furious 7." According to their statement, they need a period of time to "assess all options available to move forward with the franchise."
