"Noah" has flooded the box office at No. 1. Darren Aronofsky's Bible-to-film adaptation reaped $15.2 million in sales during its first day in theaters on March 28.
With a star-studded cast—Russell Crowe, Jennifer Connelly and Emma Watson—"Noah" is the third Christian-based film released in recent weeks, beginning with "The Son of God" one month prior on Feb. 28. Harold Cronk's "God's Not Dead" debuted on March 21.
"['God's Not Dead'] has earned $15.3 million since its initial release, a surprisingly high number that likely has the filmmakers doling out kudos to the Big Man Upstairs," reports Entertainment Weekly.
The box office currently holds "Noah" in first place, and "God's Not Dead" remains in the top five.
