Public Hearing Scheduled About Changes For Johnny Cash Property
HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. - A public hearing has scheduled this week about proposed changes to a music legend's former home.
A piece of property in Hendersonville that used to belong to Johnny and June Cash was sold in March, and now the new owner wants to turn it into a treatment facility.
Some nearby neighbors aren't happy with the plans to re-zone the property.
The Hendersonville Planning Commission was scheduled to hold a public hearing on the issue on Tuesday, but the issue has been pushed back to October 7, assuming the owner files paperwork in time.
The Cash family called the Claudill Drive property home for nearly 35-years. The house burned to the ground about seven years ago during remodeling.
