Man Suffers Critical Injuries After Being Struck By Train In East Nashville
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A man was hospitalized with critical injuries after being struck by a train in east Nashville early Thursday morning.
Metropolitan Nashville Police said the victim was laying on the tracks at Waters Avenue just west of Riverside Drive when he was struck by the CSX train around 2:15 a.m.
The victim was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with critical injuries. His name was not immediately released.
It was not immediately clear why the man was on the tracks.
Police along with CSX officials responded to the scene. The investigation was ongoing.
