Father Accused Of Hitting Pedestrian With Son In Car
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A man was arrested Saturday night after police said he had been drinking when he struck a pedestrian. Police said the man had his 12-year-old son in the car with him.
Metropolitan Nashville Police said 51-year-old Kenneth Will hit another man who was trying to retrieve his blown tire along Vietnam Veterans Boulevard around 8 p.m.
Witnessess said the man was in the middle lane when he was hit. The impact caused the man to go airborne. He was expected to be ok.
Police said Will admitted having three beers about an hour before the accident and had trouble completing a field sobriety test. Neither he nor his 12-year-old son, who was in the front seat, were hurt.
Will was taken into custody and charged with child endangerment and vehicular assault .
He was booked on $32,000 bond.
