NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Two suspects have been arrested after police discovered an alleged “shake and bake" meth lab operation at a home in South Nashville.

Officers were called to the scene after a citizen reported possible drug activity going on at a home on Holt Road.

According to investigators, a two liter bottle was found in a refrigerator containing ground up pseudoephedrine tablets, along with ammonium nitrate and other ingredients used in manufacturing meth.

Metro Police said 45-year-old John Steven Parker admitted to making meth and his friend, 40-year-old Christy Duke, said she was present during the manufacturing process. She reportedly told police she expected to receive some of the finished product.

Both were arrested and held in lieu of $80,000 bond.
