The social media phenomenon known as the Ice Bucket Challenge has quickly found its way to country music stars, with Dierks Bentley and Chase Rice recently accepting the challenge.

“The challenge involves people getting doused with buckets of ice [and] water on video, posting that video to social media, then nominating others to do the same, all in an effort to raise ALS awareness,” according to the ALS Association’s web site. “Those who refuse to take the challenge are asked to make a donation to the ALS charity of their choice.” ALS is also sometimes called Lou Gehrig’s Disease.
Chase recently did it at what looks like a rather scenic desert vista, then passed along the challenge to Dierks, posting this message with his video: “What up Dierks Bentley. U gonna be a real man;)?? Step up to the plate bro!! #strikeoutals #icebucketchallenge.”
Dierks soon took him up on it in the bus parking area at Boston’s Gillette Stadium where he was performing with Luke Bryan.
Dierks let Luke off the hook, but passed along his own challenge to fellow country stars Kip Moore and the Cadillac Three’s Jaren Johnston.
And ladies, you’re welcome in advance for these shirtless videos of Dierks and Chase.
Among the other celebrities who have already taken the challenge are Matt Lauer, Martha Stewart, actresses Elizabeth Banks and Jennifer Morrison, singer Lance Bass and Boston Bruins stars Brad Marchand and Torey Krug, and the list is growing daily.
UPDATE: Lee Brice has now joined the list of country stars taking the challenge. Check out his video below, and his challenge to pals Randy Houser, Jerrod Niemann, Tyler Farr and Jon Stone of the duo American Young to do the same.

And here's Cole Swindell taking the challenge:

And now here's Luke Bryan doing it, cheered on by Dierks and Luke behind him, and challenging Lady Antebellum's Charles Kelley to go next.

And here's Dustin Lynch taking the challenge, and urging Keith Urban and Little Big Town to do the same.

And here's Justin Moore doing it while his adorable, giggling daughters look on, and then hand him towels at the end. Justin has now challenged tour-mates Miranda Lambert and Thomas Rhett.

Finally, here's Randy Houser, who hilariously challenges 75-year-old Kenny Rogers to take the challenge.
