The Green Bay Packers are bringing back a backup quarterback who kept the team in the playoff race in 2013 before Aaron Rodgers' return from injury.
The Packers confirmed Tuesday what NFL.com's Ian Rapoport initially reported a week ago:

The New York Giants were considering bringing Flynn in to back up Eli Manning, but he has apparently chosen the Packers instead.
Flynn directed the Packers to a 2-2-1 record while filling in for Rodgers in November and December of 2013. His work enabled the Packers to stay alive in the divisional playoff race, and Rodgers led Green Bay to the NFC North title with a win over the Chicago Bears in Week 17.
