GRAND CHUTE, Wis -- The Burlington Bees broke open a close game with four runs in the sixth inning to defeat the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers 5-1 in game two of a doubleheader at Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium on Wednesday night. The teams split the doubleheader as Wisconsin won game one 7-6 in ten innings.
Brennan, who had the game-winning hit in the bottom of the tenth in game on Wednesday, cracked a long drive to centerfield with one out. The ball cleared the 16-foot high wall 400 feet from home plate for a solo homer to tie the game at 1-1. The home run was the fourth of the season for Brennan.
The tie did not last long. Mike Fish tripled to center to lead off the top of the sixth inning against Rattlers starting pitcher Anthony Banda. Angel Rosa smacked a 2-0 pitch through the drawn-in infield to drive in Fish and give the Bees a 2-1 lead. The hit also knocked Banda out of the game.
