Showers on the radar now will dissapate tonight. Will they come back and ruin your holiday weekend plans?

Showers and a few thunderstorms have popped up far to the north out of our viewing area.  These will slowly drift south and dissipate as the sun sets this evening.  The haze in the air will continue over the next day or two.  This "haze" is actually smoke blowing in from large Canadian forest fires.  Although it may keep our temperatures down by a couple degrees, it will also set the stage for some pretty awesome sunsets.

For tonight expect partly cloudy skies with an outside chance of a thundershower after dark.  Light and variable southwest winds will help keep temperatures in the upper 50s.

Saturday (July 4th) will see bright and sunny conditions.  There will still be some haze in the upper atmosphere but it wont do much to affect our temperatures.  The afternoon high should poke up into the low 80s.  Light and variable southwest winds will continue, setting the stage to view the area fireworks displays.

Saturday night will bring mostly starry conditions and excellent fireworks viewing.  Temperatures will gradually settle back through the 60s as we make our way towards morning.

Have a happy and safe 4th of July weekend!!!
