Veronica Rodriguez, 50, opened the bathroom door in her College Station, Texas, residence and saw a 12-foot African python slithering into her bathtub. The snake was found around 9 p.m.

"When the officer showed up, he came with a brown paper sack," Rodriguez tells her local newspaper, The Eagle. "I told him, 'You're going to need a bigger sack than that.'"

After a paper bag and a 10-gallon bucket did not secure the python, three officers and animal control forced it inside a city trash can. "It was pretty aggressive," College Station officer Tony Gonzales shares with The Eagle. "It definitely didn't want to go into the trash can."

It is assumed that the snake was able to enter Rodriguez's house through a back door, left open while Rodriguez cleaned her daughter's guinea pigs and their cage.

Self-described as "already afraid of everything," Rodriguez is now being "overly cautious about making sure doors are closed," further reports The Eagle.

The owner has since claimed the massive creature.
