George Zimmerman's parents suing comedian Roseanne Barr
George Zimmerman's parents are suing comedian and actress Roseanne Barr.
Barr is known for her outspokenness and using Twitter as a forum to get her views across. Now, she is being sued because she allegedly tweeted the address of George Zimmerman's parents.
According to CNN, Zimmerman's parents say Barr posted "an open and obvious call for vigilante justice."
Robert and Gladys Zimmerman claim they were forced to flee their home as a result of the tweet.
Barr is accused of sending the tweet to her 110,000 followers on March 29, 2012, which was one month after Zimmerman killed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin.
Zimmerman was later acquitted by a Florida jury of second-degree murder and manslaughter in a highly-publicized 2013 trial.
Barr's tweet listed Zimmerman's parent's names, telephone number and home address.
Twitter has a rule that bans tweets with unauthorized personal information.
It is not known exactly how much they are seeking in their suit, but reports say it could be in excess of $15,000.
