GREEN BAY, WI-  Walmart is ready to give its proposal for a new store in Green Bay's Broadway District. The company announcing its plan to hold a meeting next Tuesday at the Neville Museum. Some city leaders say downtown is no place for a big-box retailer. Walmart officials want to give the public a chance to look at their proposal for the Larsen Green Industrial site and give people the chance to ask questions and give feedback.

Walmart says the store addresses the needs of downtown Green Bay. However many people including city staff say the big box store just doesn't make sense for this location. 
"A single story large box building on one of the best urban downtown city view sites is just not a good idea," says City Economic Development Director Greg Flisram.
The meeting will start at 5:30 P.M.
