Green Bay, WI -- The team may have been away Saturday for their first preseason game but that doesn't mean Lambeau Field was a ghost town. The Packers organization teamed up with Special Olympics for their annual "Over the Edge" fundraiser. Thrill seekers and fans alike had the chance to rappel down the outer walls of Lambeau Field. Former Packers players were also on hand to congratulate participants as they finished.
"I think it's just an amazement of how awesome it is to be up there, to kiss the G, to touch the G and be a part of history and rappel down Lambeau Field," said Matt Harper with Special Olympics.
Money raised during the event goes toward year round programming for sports and education with Special Olympics Wisconsin.
