GREEN BAY, WI - Elderly and disabled adults are getting some heating assistance with Project Heat's On that's in it's twenty-first year.
Volunteers from the plumbers and steam-fitters local 400 inspect and clean heating systems, change filters and inspect smoke alarms for low-income homeowners. The project is done all by volunteers.
Robert Gonzalez, vice president of A.J. Mechanical says "when you see them smiling, or even crying when you tell them, hey, we're going to help you out, it just makes you feel so great. We're lucky with what we have and one, day we might be in that boat, you never know.
The volunteers use materials donated from several businesses.
