Freedom, WI--  A local High School receiving thousands of dollar for keeping a local waterway clean.

The SCA Environmental Corporation is giving Freedom High School nearly $2,500 for its long-term project monitoring Duck Creek and its water quality. 
It's part of America Recycles Day 2013.
The grant is given to schools who are helping the environment.
"This grant  will allow us to get equipment and get consumable chemicals as well as to have better access data from the creek over the course of the year", said Biology Instructor John Dobyns.
For the last six-years, the SCA Environmental Corporation has given more than $68,000 to schools.. In the Fox Valley.
