GREEN BAY, Wis. - Advocates and survivors gathered in Green Bay Wednesday to announce a long range plan for ending domestic violence in Wisconsin.

The Wisconsin Governor's Council on domestic abuse released programs and possible solutions at the Brown County court house. Advocates and survivors are calling for a bigger investment in lifesaving support. The plan identifies un-met needs and priority areas to save lives.

"We are a shelter program and if our community didn't have a shelter program, victims of domestic violence, would have to leave their community to seek help elsewhere,"  says Stacy Cicero, from Safe Haven.

This is one of several of gatherings taking place around the state.
