Flag Day Parade
APPLETON, WI - This year marks sixty-three years for the Appleton Flag Parade! The route goes down Wisconsin Avenue and then proceeds down College Avenue.
The day includes about one hundred organizations of scout troops, patriotic floats, decorated vehicles, walking units and area marching bands.
Josh Young, who has been coming to the parade since he was a kid says the parade "shows our patriotism. And it helps support all our troops, past and present and gives them recognition, sometimes when we're not thinking about those things, we think about the negative, and this is a very positive thing".
The parade is the oldest Flag Day parade in the nation.
