Sheboygan—A 24-year-old Sheboygan man is dead following a shooting on the 1800 block of South 9th St. Police are still releasing few details on this ongoing investigation, but witnesses tell NBC26 the shooter actually drove the victim to the hospital. Police know who the suspect is but they still haven't been able to locate that person.

People in the southside Sheboygan neighborhood say the shooting came as a surprise."I didn't hear any gunshot, I just heard a lot of people screaming I came out here and a lot of people were running out the door," said neighbor Charles Houseye.

Charles Houseye lives across from the home where a 24-year-old man was shot in the chest about 7:00 p.m. Saturday night, he died at the hospital.

"I was actually here and helped them carry him and put him in the car and I seen the gunshot I was one of the people that called the cops too,” Houseye said.

Police are investigating the fatal shooting and say they are searching for a known suspect, emphasizing they know who pulled the trigger and this was not a random act of violence. Neighbors say this house is known for hosting loud parties, but they never expected anything like this to happen.
