State Democrats Coming To Appleton

By Brian Miller. CREATED Jun 7, 2012

Appleton-- The state's democrats are set to descend on downtown Appleton for the annual convention.

Cindy Fallona is a life long democrat and when she retired 4 years ago she decided to become more hands on, and she has been volunteering ever since. Fallona is among dozens of volunteers filling bags to be passed out during the convention. "I said boy it's time to put your money where your mouth is and if you don't get out there and work then you have no right to complain," Fallona said.

Fallona is one of more than 1,000 democrats from across the state gathering in Appleton Friday and Saturday as the party looks to heal from its defeat in the recall. It's a chance for democrats to lay the framework for the next election.
"Regrouping, gathering energy from each other and moving ahead in Wisconsin laying out what our plans are what the democrats values that we support and out forward as how we want to see Wisconsin move ahead, said Rep. Penny Bernard Schaber.
It's moving ahead that party leaders say is vital to the democrat's success in upcoming elections, as they look to get momentum back on their side.
