NFL Kickoff Acts Announced
After weeks of anticipation the NFL finally announces who will play at this year's kickoff concert at Lambeau Field.
Kid Rock, Lady Antebellum and Maroon 5 will make their way to Green Bay for a big-time party in the Lambeau Field parking lot--before the Packers take on the Saints.
"We try to incorporate a little bit of each city into each kickoff show we do," said Lawrence Randall, director of programming for the NFL.
The concert alone is expected to draw 20-thousand people to Titletown.
"They'll be people coming from all over the country most likely to the game--given the Packers have such a diverse and far-reaching home base," said Brad Toll with the Green Bay Visitors Bureau.
For Josh Anderson, manager of "Ticket King", that's music to his ears. He says a lot of people aren't buying tickets for Packers games later in the season.
"The biggest question on my mind is how many people are going to show up here on the day of the concert and decide they want to have tickets?" said Anderson.
The concert is free, but keep in mind with the game and concert, it's expected up to 100-thousand people will pack Lambeau Field. It's suggested to get there early for a good spot. Gates will open at 3:15pm next Thursday. The concert will kick off at 5:30pm.
