Kip Moore, Scotty McCreery, David Nail, Blackberry Smoke, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and Clay Walker are among the acts added to the lineup of Summerfest, billed as the "World's Largest Music Festival." It's scheduled to take place in Milwaukee June 25-29 and July 1-6. Previously announced headliner Brad Paisley will be joined by Darius Rucker and Joel Crouse, and Zac Brown Band will also be taking the stage during the event, which features some of the biggest names from pop and rock music as well.
See the list of performers here. Performance dates, times and stage locations, as well as additional headliners, will be announced in the coming weeks.
Since debuting in 1968, Summerfest has combined headline acts, emerging talent and local favorites (over 800 acts in all), then adds approximately 900,000 people from Milwaukee and around the world to the mix. There are 11 stages, with a wide variety of food, beverages and interactive activities. Check out more details at the official Summerfest website and at its Facebook and Twitter pages.
Summerfest is also represented on a cool, new streaming music app called Radio League, which allows you to listen to six different radio stations (including a country station powered by Nashville Edge) plus a special station devoted exclusively to Summerfest headliners. Download the Radio League app on your mobile device here. Radio League is a product of Nashville Edge parent company Journal Broadcast Group.
