Americans are expected to eat more than 155 million hot dogs on the Fourth of July and now we know what the top 10 toppings will be on those hot dogs.

Mustard is No. 1, according to JJ's Red Hots in Charlotte, North Carolina. The company came up with the list based on two years of the brand's sales data.

Here are the top 10:

1. Mustard
2. Onions
3. Chili
4. Slaw
5. Ketchup
6. Relish/Pickles
7. Bacon
8. Sauerkraut
9. Cheese
10. Hot Relish

Mustard is the No. 1 choice for adults although children prefer ketchup. New York hot dogs are usually served with mustard and steamed onions and traditional Chicago hot dogs are served with mustard, relish, onions and tomato slices.

According to the National Hot Dog and Sausage Council, Americans consume more than seven billion hot dogs between Memorial Day and Labor Day. That equals out to 60 dogs per year for every single American.
