Today's Outlook

Showers Expected Later Today

South winds will be blowing today ahead of the front which is expected to slowly move into the Ozarks this week.

Expect the breeze to be warm today as high temperatures peak in the upper eighties.

A few showers and storms may form in the late afternoon. These will tend to be more scattered in nature.

The bigger rain chances start to kick in late tonight as the front begins to approach the area.  Because this front will be moving slowly, several rounds of rain and some thunderstorms are in the forecast through Wednesday.

A flash flood watch is in effect for most of the Ozarks through Wednesday evening.

Areas of the Ozarks, especially north of Springfield, may pick up 2-4 inches of rain by Wednesday night.
