Police Identify Couple Found Dead In Southeast Springfield Home

A couple found dead in a home in southeast Springfield at the 21-hundred block of east Norshire have been identified by Springfield Police.
Investigators say they are 32 year-old Stephanie Fajardo and her husband 35 year-old Rudolph Fajardo both from Springfield.
Police were called to the home early Friday morning.
A police spokeswoman says authorities aren't sure how they died but think the deaths are just an isolated incident.
Autopsies are scheduled for today.
Husband Was Local Doctor
Cox Health released the following statement shorty after Springfield Police confirmed the identities.
"Dr. Rudolph Fajardo had been employed as a hospitalist at CoxHealth since July 2008.
We are greatly saddened by Friday’s tragic events, and our thoughts and prayers are with the friends and families affected. During his time here, Dr. Fajardo was a respected physician.
This is a tragic loss for the CoxHealth family. We are activating our Critical Incident Stress Management team to support those who worked with and knew Dr. Fajardo.
Out of respect for the families involved and the legal process, we defer to the authorities for further details."
