MSU Basketball Bears Lead Missouri Southern 43-38 At Halftime
The MSU Bears are doing anything but coasting at the half against Missouri Southern, leading the Lions 43-38 in an exhibition basketball game at JQH Arena.
The Bears have led by no more than eight points, and the Lions got as close as one when Cameron Cornelius hit a three pointer with 3:14 left in the half, cutting MSU's lead to 34-33.
Junior Christian Kirk has nine points to lead MSU in scoring, followed by Marcus Marshall with six, and Keith Pickens, Jarmar Gulley, Austin Ruder and Gavin Thurman with five each.
Jordan Talbert has nine to pace the Lions, who have converted on six of 11 three point attempts. The Bears are three of seven from beyond the arc and shooting 51.4% overall (18-35).
Missouri State will open the season November 8th at Old Dominion.
