A man from Springfield, who has been charged more than a dozen times, now has assault and armed criminal action on his record.
According to online court records, Edward Ball, 30, has been charged 15 times for offenses which include drug possession and trafficking, as well as unlawful use of a weapon.
A jury convicted Ball Thursday in the stabbing of two security guards at Midnight Rodeo in 2011. One security officer was stabbed in the shoulder and ribcage. Another suffered a leg wound. Prosecutors say Ball assaulted the two men because they told him to leave the bar.
He will be sentenced in early April.
