From A Press Release
CRIME STOPPERS and the Springfield Police Department are requesting help regarding a robbery. On March 17, 2013, at approximately 8:00am, a suspect entered the Signal Gas Station located at 960 S. Glenstone and approached the beer coolers.
The suspect waited until all of the customers exited the store and then contacted the clerk at the sales counter. The suspect ordered the clerk to give him all of the money. During this time, the suspect had his right hand in his pocket and stated he didn’t want to shoot the clerk. The clerk provided the suspect with currency from the cash register and then he fled the store on foot. The robbery was captured on a video surveillance system. Another nearby business had surveillance cameras mounted on the exterior of the building. The suspect from the robbery can be seen running from the Signal Gas Station and entering the passenger side of a vehicle. The vehicle then flees the area northbound on Glenstone Avenue. Michael Allan Huus, age 39, has been charged with robbery for his involvement in the crime. Police investigators are seeking help from the public in identifying the suspect vehicle in the pictures below and the driver that aided in the robbery. In this photo, there is damage to the vehicle above the front driver’s side tire.
