Freeze Warning Tonight
The Ozarks will completely reverse its weather pattern over the next six days!
A Freeze Warning has been issued for all of southwest Missouri tonight with a Freeze Watch in northern Arkansas.
The center of a bubble of cold high pressure will pass over the area tonight. This will produce widespread lows in the upper 20s tomorrow morning. This is the coldest air of the season. A frost is certain and this will be close to a hard freeze.
Over the weekend, the cold eases up a bit. There is a slight risk of showers Saturday that I'm keeping an eye on. The weekend temperatures will be a tad warmer with readings near sixty both days. Sunday looks pretty good.
Next week, southwest flow aloft will replace the northwest flow we have experienced this week. This will mean warmer temperatures for the beginning and middle of next week.
The long range models are in disagreement over the handling of an upper level storm next week. Generally, the trend has been to slow this storm up. This has the effect of putting rain in the forecast into the middle of next week, puts thunderstorms in the forecast and also means the Halloween forecast is somewhat up in the air.
