Former Greene County Bailiff Charged With Bank Robbery
Timothy W Polodna, Hold For Fbi
Bank robbery charges have been filed against a former Greene County bailiff and security guard.
Federal prosecutors say 51-year-old Timothy Polodna took $26,000 thousand dollars from the Bank of America at Kearney and Grant in Springfield last week.
He told the bank manager he had a bomb and eventually forced him outside at gunpoint.
Court records say Polodna didn't have a job and had been living with his parents.
He used the money to pay off bills and back child support.
Polodna once worked as chief of security for the Greene County courts building and later at the Christian County courts building.
He was fired from his job in Greene County back in 2000.
He worked for Christian County from 2005 to 2006.
