Authorities cleared the scene and re-opened Boonville at around 4:30 Thursday afternoon.

The FBI, Springfield Police, and the Springfield Fire Department's Bomb Squad are at a home on Boonville between High and Turner.

Members of the 7th Civil Support Team with the Missouri National Guard were called in to take care of some hazardous materials in the home.

Springfield Police Captain Vance Holland won't say what materials were found, but he says they're not a threat to police or anyone else.

Police say a man is in custody.

Here's the release from the Springfield Police Department:

At 10:30 am today, the Springfield Police Department in conjunction with the Federal Bureau of Investigations and the 7th Civil Support Team served a search warrant at 2210 N. Boonville.

Due to the possibility of hazardous materials being present, every precautionary measure was taken to ensure the safety of the officers and the public.

There is no danger to the community regarding this incident.

The investigation is ongoing and further details will be provided at a later time.
