With hundreds of thousands of people forced out of their homes and more than 10,000 reported dead from Typhoon Haiyan, many across the globe are providing aid to the Philippines.
One of those agencies is a relief group based in Springfield. Convoy of Hope has had an operation in the Philippines for some time.
Spokesman Jeff Nene tells KTTS News that's meant a quicker response because teams were already on the ground before the storm hit.
Nene says relief efforts will be focused on the hardest hit areas first, providing things like food, water filtration units, and cleanup supplies.
Several shipping containers full of supplies are set to leave Springfield this week, bound for the Philippines.
