The Battlefield Mall in Springfield says the stores inside will be opening at 8 p.m. Thanksgiving night and closing 9 p.m. Friday. The mall joins many other retailers, like Target and Kmart, that are planning to open on Thanksgiving day.

SPRINGFIELD, MO (November 14, 2013) – Springfield shoppers looking to stretch their dollar this holiday season will flock to Battlefield Mall, Southwest Missouri’s premier shopping destination with more than 150 stores, for more than 25 hours of Black Friday savings. Battlefield Mall announced today that it will have extended holiday hours starting at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 28, to greet shoppers and families eager to begin their holiday shopping for the 2013 season.

In addition, shoppers will be treated to special events and promotions Black Fridayweekend and all season long. Families are invited to bring their furry, four-legged family members to the mall for Pet Photos with Santa on Sunday, Nov. 24, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. and on Sunday, Dec. 1, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. On Saturday, Dec. 7, from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m., families will have the opportunity to enjoy Breakfast with Santa and the Springfield Ballet. It is $10 for adults and $8 for children ages 12 and under.
