2 Passengers Killed In Joplin Crash
Police in Joplin say two people were killed when the driver of the car they were in lost control.
Investigators say the driver of the vehicle was driving to fast around curve.
Police say the driver was arrested for involuntary anslaughter and second degree assault. Formal charges are still pending from the Jasper County Prosecutors Office.

On June 15, 2013 at 0115 hours, the Joplin Police Department responded to the area of G St and St Louis, in reference a one vehicle roll over crash.
The investigation at this time indicates the driver of the vehicle was traveling too fast around a curve and lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle left the roadway and overturned.
Two passengers were ejected from the vehicle and were pronounced dead at the scene. A third passenger, who was wearing his seatbelt, was transported to a local hospital with moderate injuries.
The driver of the vehicle was arrested for Involuntary Manslaughter and 2nd Degree Assault. Formal charges will be submitted to the Jasper County Prosecutors Office.
This crash is still under investigation and awaiting toxicology results, but alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor to the crash.
The names of the victims are being withheld at this time pending notification of next of kin.
