Local police and firefighters will be duking it out in a boxing ring at a fundraiser tomorrow night at Central High School in Springfield.
Willard Police Chief Tom McClain says the local youth boxing group known as PAL, the Greene County 100 Club and Central High Project Graduation will be benefiting from the money raised.
From a press release...
March 30, 2013 marks the day for our 1st Springfield Area Guns ‘N Hoses Boxing Extravaganza. This event has been months in the planning and is a FUNdraiser for the Greene County 100 Club and the Willard PAL Youth Boxing Program. Central High Project Graduation will also benefit from the concession proceeds.
General Admission $10
Ringside (front row) $30
Second Row Ringside $20
Third Row Ringside $15
The doors open at 5 pm. The event will begin promptly at 6 pm (we recommend coming hungry as the Project Graduation Committee has many reasonably priced dinner items on the menu).
I see you heading toward the house at around 8:30 pm having been intensely entertained and feeling good about supporting two great non-profits (The Greene County 100 Club, whose sole mission is to offer immediate financial assistance to the families of firefighters and police officers killed in the line of duty and The Willard PAL Youth Boxing Program, whose mission is to assist kids in the area of Honor, Responsibility, Discernment and Self Control via the fundamentals of the sweet science of boxing).
