ABC's 'Nashville' to make TV history with season premiere
By Kellie Michaels. CREATED Aug 4, 2014
The ABC series "Nashville" will kick off it's third season by making TV history. The show will be the first scripted drama to attempt live musical performances.
The unprecedented episode will feature two live performances from characters Will Lexington (Chris Carmack) and Deacon Claybourne (Charles Esten.) And they will truly be live. The performances will be broadcast directly from the show's Bluebird Café set in Nashville.
Last month, Nashville creator Callie Khouri first revealed that the show would air live performances. She said, "We want people to know what it's really like. The live music here is such a huge presence in our show that we thought maybe we could find a way to share with the world what that feels like for real."
Season three of "Nashville" will debut on Wednesday, September 24 at 10 pm ET on ABC.
