HELP of Southern Nevada helps disadvantaged, homeless teens
HELP of Southern Nevada provides services to low-income families and homeless teens and adults.
Their goal is to help individuals become more self-sufficient through direct services, training and referrals.
Programs offered include the Shannon West Homeless Youth Center, Emergency Resources Services, Framing Hope Warehouse, Weatherization, Community Alternative Sentencing, Work Opportunities Readiness Center, Holiday Assistance, Nevada 2-1-1 and Homeless Outreach.
HELP hopes to break ground on a new center this year and increase the number of their beds from 65 to 110.
HELP was started by the Junior League of Las Vegas in 1970. It currently helps more than 100,000 people each year.
