Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Thousands of jobs are up for grabs in the valley, and it's all thanks to the Downtown Summerlin development.
A job fair is being held on Aug. 27, ahead of the development's scheduled opening on Oct. 9.
"We started construction again last year, last spring, and we are 43 days away from being open," said Kimberly Esparza, assistant manager.
If you're looking for a job, polish up your resume and get ready.
"We have a variety of retailers and restaurants and department stores and some contracted vendors that will be hiring, everything from administrative positions to managerial positions. We have restaurant positions," Esparza said.
The 106-acre development will have stores, restaurants, entertainment venues, even homes and office space. That means around 2,000 new jobs will be up for grabs at the job fair at Red Rock Casino on Aug. 27.
The retail complex will include more than 125 stores and restaurants.
"It's going to be everybody from Macy's and Dillard's to Regal Cinema. We have retailers like Sephora, Old Navy, the Art of Shaving, just a wide variety."
There will be full-time and part-time positions available. Organizers suggest bringing plenty of resumes, a list of references and dress professionally.
"Come ready to interview in case a retailer decides they want to do it right there on the spot."
The job fair will be held inside the Summerlin Ballroom from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
