Clark County Water Reclamation District receives two awards
The National Association of Clean Water Agencies presented the Clark County Water Reclamation District with two Gold Peak Performance Awards.
The Flamingo Water Resource Center and the Laughlin Water Resource Center treatment facilities were recognized at the NACWA summer conference and 44th annual meeting in Portland, Oregon.
NACWA's Peak Performance Awards program recognizes public agency facilities for excellence in waste-water treatment as measured by their compliance with the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System laws.
Gold Awards honor treatment works that have achieved 100 percent compliance with their NPDES permit for an entire calender year.
The Flamingo and Laughlin facilities were two of only 158 waste-water plants across the country to win this award.
This is the second straight year the Flamingo facility has won this award.
