New exhibit at Bellagio features women painters

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- We live in a world class city with world class accommodations, world class restaurants and world class art, thanks to the Gallery of Fine Art at the Bellagio.

Right now it has an exhibit on loan from the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. It's called Painting Women. As the title suggests, all of the artists featured are women. The art is incredible but so is the process to bring it there.

Executive Director Tarissa Tiberti said, "When we receive artwork, it must sit in crates and acclimate for 48 hours before we can even open it."

The high-tech room maintains a perfect temperature and humidity level for the art. That, combined with the security cameras and time lock doors, makes the Bellagio an ideal location for museums around the world to entrust their exhibits. This one will be here through October.

The locals discount is $8 Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. Every other day, the cost is $12 for locals.
