Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The boys are back in town. The Mountain Ridge All-Stars are back from the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, and now they are transitioning from sports stars to students.

Cadwallader Middle School gave a Major League welcome home to the boys on their first day of school on Wednesday.

These kids are still riding cloud nine, and why wouldn't they be? They finished fourth in the world, second in the United States. It's definitely cause for celebration.

Cadwallader put on a big welcome home party complete with a jazz band, cheerleaders, and even a video tribute to the team with some highlights from the Little League World Series.

School officials said the kids embodied team work, leadership, determination, courage, hard work and heart and they set an example for other students athletes to reach for their goals. The players said they appreciate the support.

Of course, we're all so proud of the team. They worked hard and made Nevada history.

Now they've just got to refocus all that energy into their studies. It's going to be quite the task coming off such a media blitz.

About 35,000 people attended the Little League World Series. That's more than the average attendance for quite a few Major League Baseball teams.
