Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- If you are out and about this Labor Day Weekend, you should be drinking responsibly.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's Traffic Bureau along with officers from the area commands will be conducting sobriety checkpoints and DUI saturation patrols on Labor Day Weekend in all areas of Las Vegas.
These events will focus on both drug and alcohol impaired drivers in the hope of reducing the impact of impaired drivers and impaired related crashes.
The checkpoints will be conducted on Aug. 29-30, between the hours of 7 p.m. and 3 a.m.
The DUI saturations patrols will be out the rest of the weekend.
The goal of these events is to help work towards reducing the amount of DUI incidents across the valley, as well as alcohol related traffic deaths.
