Below is a list of events and specials happening Memorial Day Weekend, May 24-26 in Las Vegas.


The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) will operate its transit system on a Sunday schedule on Memorial Day, Monday, May 26.For those interested in taking advantage of the many Memorial Day sales, shoppers can park their vehicle at no cost at any of the RTC’s park-and-ride locations, then ride transit to shopping malls and retail centers throughout the valley for as little as $2 for a hassle-free holiday shopping experience.


Annual Ride Over The Dam
The road across Hoover Dam will be closed to all traffic from mid-morning until about noon on May 26 to allow approximately 500 members of the Vietnam Veterans Motorcycle Club and their associates to conduct their sixth annual Ride Over The Dam. The group will start on the Arizona side at about 11 a.m. and travel to the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City.

Bambini's Pizzeria Memorial Weekend Car Show
A car show will take place May 23 and 24 at Bambini's Pizzeria on West Craig Road. A show and shine will take place from 5 to 9 p.m. May 23 and the car show will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 24. There will also be arts and craft vendors, activities from the kids, a live band and a raffle. A portion of the money raised will go to Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 17.

Treasure Island
Following a sold-out performance in March, iconic funny man Bill Cosby brings his signature comedy back to the Treasure Island Theatre May 23 at 8 p.m. Tickets are available starting at $59.95, plus taxes and service charges, and can be purchased by calling 866-712-9308 or 702-894-7722.
Planet Hollywood Miracle Mile Shops
Sammy Hagar’s rockin’ cantina will turn into the ultimate party destination with Dos Equis girls and live music on the Strip-side patio. Party-goers may keep their cool while the party heats up with Dos Equis beer bucket specials, priced at $21 and daily shot specials.
In celebration of Memorial Day, Caesars Entertainment’s Total Vegas Resorts invite active and retired military members to enjoy several entertainment and dining offerings free of charge or at discounted prices. Shows included are Shania, X Burlesque, Defending the Caveman, Anthony Cools, Frank Marino's Diva's Las Vegas and more.
Chayo Mexican Kitchen + Tequila Bar
Chayo at The LINQ will celebrate Memorial Day with a party on the patio complete with a walk-up tequila bar and festive frozen drink specials.
Chris Tucker
Pearl at The Palms
Comedian Chris Tucker returns to The Pearl on May 24, 2014 at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $45, plus any additional service fees. Chris Tucker is best known for his role of Detective James Carter in the “Rush Hour” film series. Starting his career as a stand up comedian, Tucker’s bold sense of humor landed him a spot on “Def Comedy Jam” where he frequently performed in the 1990s.
The Cromwell Las Vegas
Drai's has its Memorial Day Weekend line-up featuring nine global masters, including: Eric Prydz, Showtek, DVBBS, 12th Planet, DJ Irie, Sidney Samson, HELENA Quintino & Ummet Ozcan.
El Cortez Hotel & Casino is serving free White Castle cheeseburgers to celebrate Memorial Day on Monday, May 26. Club Cortez members can enjoy free White Castle cheeseburgers while they play slots and table games, and the complimentary burgers will be served from noon to 6 p.m.
Caesars Palace
FIZZ will host “Pop & Shop,” a champagne and shopping experience, from noon to 4 p.m. on Friday, May 23 and Saturday, May 24.
Floyd Lamb State Park
Horses4Heroes, Go Space and Rockin' for the Warriors will present a three-day music festival Rockin' for the Country May 24-26. The family-friendly event will feature country, rock, jazz and blues music. There will be retail and food vendors and a Family Fun Zone featuring seven bounces, a water slide, a bungee run, various sports and games, horse-drawn wagon rides, barnyard visits and various equestrian activities. The music festival is free. Admission to fun zone is $20 per military family or $40 for non-military families.
Treasure Island
Gilley’s Country Summer returns starting Memorial Day Weekend (May 23) and continuing through the end of Labor Day Weekend (September 1) with various food and beverage specials, and live entertainment at the country honky-tonk inside Treasure Island.
Las Vegas 51s
The Las Vegas 51s will be hosting a four-game homestand against the Sacramento River Cats from May 23-26. Military appreciation night is on May 23 and there will be fireworks following the game. Saturday is Alumni T-shit night and Smith's Value Menu Night is on May 26. The game at Monday will also be at 12:05 p.m.

Palm Downtown Mortuary and Cemetery, 1325 N. Main St., in conjunction with the American Legion Post #8, will host its 49th Annual Memorial Day Service May 26. Residents and visitors are invited to honor the men and women who have lost their lives defending the United States with a commemorative service featuring dignitaries and songs. Free. Rock-N-Ride for Vets and concert
A veterans bike run will take place beginning at Veterans Village on Las Vegas Boulevard at 9 a.m. May 24. It will be followed by a recognition ceremony and concert at the Veterans Village Thrift Store on West Charleston at 11 a.m. Jason & Janea Eb's All-Star Band Jet Velocity will perform. Nevada State Assemblywoman Lucy Flores is scheduled to attend.
Rock the Lake
Rock the Lake, benefitng the Veterans Care Foundation, will take place noon to 10 p.m. May 25 at The Village at Lake Las Vegas. There will be family-friendly activities, vendors, live entertainment including a Beatles tribute and Elvis impersonator. Cost is $20 for ages 13 and over and $10 for ages 12 and under. Vets admitted free.
The Forum Shops
TREVI will offer food and drink specials for Memorial Day Weekend from 2 to 6 p.m. Friday, May 23, through Monday, May 26.Guests enjoying the holiday weekend will enjoy $6 TREVI Bites including tomato bruschetta, fresh stuffed mushrooms, fried calamari, eggplant crisps, homemade meatballs and mini stuffed cheeseburgers. 
10th annual Best Dam Barbecue Challenge
The 10th annual Best Dam Barbecue Challenge will take place May 23-24 in Boulder City. There will be plenty of food in addition to barbecue, a car show, fun for the kids, rib-eating contest, live music and much more. Free admission.
Luxor Hotel and Casino 
Tacos & Tequila (T&T) will raise glasses to those who served our country this Memorial Day weekend with food and drink specials from Friday, May 23 through Monday, May 26.Party goers may enjoy a $5 menu available from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday through Sunday and all day on Monday. The menu includes: Fiesta Nachos, Habañero Wings, Chicken Quesadillas, Flautas, Guacamole, Dos Equis bottles, Jose Cuervo shots, well drinks, house red or white wine and sangria.

The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas
For the holiday weekend only, Rose. Rabbit. Lie. will be open under a different schedule – Thursday through Sunday, with the #MansionParty taking place Friday through Sunday starting at 11 p.m. nightly. May 23-25. Presale starts at $30.
The Mirage
Rhumbar will celebrate Memorial Day weekend with patriotic red, white and blue mojitos from Friday, May 23 through Monday, May 26. Happy hour specials will be available from 1 to 6 p.m. throughout the weekend, featuring $5 rum punch cocktails and Coors Light bottles, $8 house cigars and $18 domestic beer buckets.
Fremont Street Experience
