Is poisonous venom the key to stopping cancer?

Poison may be the key to stopping cancer cell growth. At least that's what one group of scientists thinks.

University of Illinois researchers said venom from bees, snakes and scorpions could be the answer to stopping cancer.

They said their approach is similar to how ancient doctors treated ailments.

Venom can hurt all cells, but researchers said this technique may only target cancer cells due to their theory.

The study is in its early stages, but they said they've had some success in stopping breast cancer and melanoma cell growth in lab tests.
