SOS Radio launches Random Acts of Christmas

By Beth Fisher. CREATED Dec 31, 2013

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- As we wrap up December, we're hearing about random acts of Christmas happening all over our city.

These kind acts are the brainchild of SOS radio.

Action News stopped by 90.5 FM to listen in on some voice mail messages left by people surprised by someone else's kindness. Other station listeners have been sending in videos showing their kindness attacks.

Every day all month long, the station challenged listeners to do something kind like buy coffee or an entire meal for a stranger.

DJ Scott Herrold said they called it "Random Acts of Christmas."

"When you look at December. It morphs into consumerism. But when you see someone giving to you, you often give to other people."

Scott told us in one case, 15 people in the drive through at Starbucks bought coffee for the person behind them.
SOS was the first FM radio station in Las Vegas. It's been around for over 41 years.
