Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A woman has been arrested following a double carjacking last month.

42-year-old Erica Hagan was arrested on May 31 in the 7400 block of Pirates Cove. She is currently housed at the Clark County Detention Center.

On May 21, police said a cab picked up Hagan at the Plaza Hotel & Casino downtown, and then drove up to the area of Rancho and Decatur.

According to police paperwork, Hagan became irate and viciously attacked the cab driver by choking him, hitting him with a large rock and stealing money from his pockets.

Hagan allegedly told the driver, "You're going to die today."

That's when police said the cab driver got out of the taxi and Hagan jumped into the driver's seat and tried to run the cab driver over. He tried to get away but was blocked by a fence. Hagan then accelerated and struck the man, driving him into the air. He fell to the ground and Hagan ran him over and pinned him against the fence.

Cynthia Autry witnessed it from her car and got out to help the wounded cab driver, "He had hit his head. It was skinned on his forehead and he was standing but limping. He was scared to death that she was gonna come back and get him [after she drove off]. I don't know what goes through someone's mind to be able to run another human being down. That was the most horrific part."

He was taken to UMC Trauma with non-life threatening injuries.

Hagan then drove the taxi to the area of Cheyenne and Jones. She ran a red light at the intersection and crashed into a Mercedes.

At that point, Hagan forced a man driving a light blue Chevy Aveo out of his car. She got in and fled the scene.

Hagan now faces the following charges: Battery by strangulation, robbery with a deadly weapon, attempted murder, battery with a deadly weapon, duty to stop at an accident, two counts of grand larceny of auto and robbery.

Hagan's next court appearance is on June 17 at 9:30 a.m.
