Two teens arrested in robbery of developmentally disabled teen

Henderson, NV (KTNV) -- Two teenage boys were arrested on Thursday in connection with the assault and robbery of a mentally challenged teen last month.
A 14-year-old Henderson boy and a 15-year-old Las Vegas boy were booked in the Clark County juvenile detention facility on robbery charges.
The 14-year-old was apprehended at his home and the 15-year-old was arrested at Silverado High School.
On Sept. 28, a 16-year-old mentally challenged boy was walking through a shopping center on Green Valley Parkway, when he passed two teens standing outside a store.
The teens followed the victim and when he was between two businesses, the suspects grabbed him, punched him in the face several times and threatened him.
The suspects took the boy's shoes, hat and cell phone before taking off.
Witnesses told detectives the suspects ran toward the direction of a nearby apartment complex. Detectives were able to gather information to identify the suspects.
One of the suspects admitted to the assault and robbery.
Both of the suspects were seen on surveillance video in the shopping center right before the robbery.
The names and mug shots of the suspects cannot be released because they are charged as juveniles.
